Over the 8 year period Oswald was a member and/or chaired various Committees of Council including Finance, Recreation and Public Works. Oswald Chaired the race Relations Committee and led various initiatives such as the One Use Plastic Bag Ban, installation of the water utility system, and implementation of the new garbage pickup system that resulted in enclosures for commercial garbage bins and mechanized garbage pickup that resulted in over a 30% increase in recycling.
